has anyone else ever compared atheism and nonbelief (esp. aggressive) to natural process gone wrong?

Concern by BIFF: has anyone else ever before compared atheism and nonbelief (esp. aggressive) to purely natural procedure gone inappropriate?
When I was identified with rhuematoid arthritis and psoriasis, and in the situation of RF factor in childbirth: the typical theme is: our entire body sends a thing to assault one thing that is very good (tissue, joints, baby) misinterpreting the “foreign entity” by mistaking it for something bad for the complete.
This can be in comparison to the governments attempts to assault ‘obvoius” or misinterpreted dictator or terrorist regimes, or the DEA attacking the drug industry, or even religion by itself attacking sexual preferences and life style options.
So intense atheism or nonbelief is fundamentally conforming and imitating natural process, but are mistakenly attacking a “good entity”?
The remedy for some of these items are on the horizon by means of science and politics.
When will faith and our idea of a God, be realized as very good for the whole of modern society…and they start picking apart their personal misconceptions of science and philosophy, as do religions of theirselves?
No I blame the authorities for adhering to naturel, and the atheists for copying the authorities and nature
ptah 31 – yes the evangelistics are often attacking the catholics, islam and christianity struggle constantly, christianity assaults the mormons, islam vs jews, etc….that has been because the commencing

  • Terry W says:

It is natural for humans to question – to want to understand – to unify.

Once this led to the misunderstandings of religion, superstition and occult. The development in the belief these was an attempt to explain what, at that time, could not explain.

Philosophy and science have, now, explanations which work. This is because of the very nature of the two. The application of scientific methology and international peir group verification.

    You’re kidding, right?

    Good question!

  • Y!A Scapegoat says:

Atheists cling to their beliefs (non-beliefs?) because it’s convenient for them to do so; it allows them to do whatever they want wherever they want to whoever they want without a second thought.

  • bonzo the tap dancing chimp says:

religion is clear example of mental processes gone wrong – atheism tirelessly strives to correct this for the good of the world

    No.

What a ridiculous and bigoted concept.

“Isn’t it likely that any disagreement with my own beliefs or thoughts is actually a disease”?

    GAWD, what disgusting arrogance!

So you’re blaming atheists for the actions of the U.S. government (which is 90% Christian)?

  • just some guy says:

    huh?

  • Keile says:

It is said that we are thought to believe in a higher power, and without that teaching, the majority of us wouldn’t reach that conclusion.

I don’t think natural selection is partial to belief because atheists are overrepresented in the area of science and philosiphy. You’d have to prove the greatest minds of the world wrong.

I fail to see how the concept of a god benefits a society,

  • Mr. Stiggo says:

There’s a fatal flaw in your analysis. Currently religion and your concept of god are considered to be good for society. Atheists are trying to heal the body of a parasitic infection the body doesn’t realize is destroying it from within.

  • Vincent K, disciple of Primus says:

I’d say it’s more likely that religion and the concept of God will eventually be accepted as being similar to an immune system malfunction; can’t remember the name, but the one where the immune system actually starts attacking the body because it gets it mixed up with foreign tissue. (Since we’re using medical metaphors here). That eventually people will realise religion thinks it’s doing good, but has actually been causing a helluva lot of harm in mistake.

Well according to your allegory it is that which is being attacked that is the “good entity” that is incorrectly labelled.

And since atheists get frequently attacked….

Name me one instance in the history of the church where they pick themselves apart…

  • Siren5ong says:

There no gods, but people believe in thousands of them. Which one will you pick?

And if you go for the jewish/christian god, which religion will you pick?

And which version of christianity (assuming you’ll pick that one)?

What you mean is when will people agree with me

“When will religion and our concept of a God, be realized as good for the whole of society…”

when will you realize that freedom of (or from) religion is good for the whole of society? will it only be when it’s truly threatened by the likes of your own religion?

  • elmjunburke says:

What makes you think that your conception of god is good for society ? There are many religions . Each thinks that theirs is correct , and all others are just a bunch of baloney .
How can anyone who considers himself to be half-way intelligent believe in ancient superstitions .
In what way is your concept of god good for society ?
I believe that dropping all religious superstitions , along with the cost of building churches , time lost in going to church , and time lost in all of the praying that goes on , could easily be put to better use .
Belief in the supernatural , the impossible is a benefit to nobody except those who receive the funds – — television preachers for instance . They bleed billions out of the superstitious suckers .
