I was utilizing natural cures from serenaskin.com for my psoriasis and it performs fantastic for me. You can’t treat this ailment only by applying creams, it requirements to be dealt with from within out. Serenaskin has anti-psoriasis extract that maintain immune method well-balanced, so it won’t trigger the flare-ups. I just take this extract 4 classes a 12 months as recommended and it controls my psoriasis very properly.

Unfortunately there isn’t a cure, but you can make the person more comfortable. I’ve had success using the product “Skin Zinc” – it comes in a box with both a spray and an ointment. I have it on my scalp as well as exposed skin so having both has been great for me. It’s an over the counter product (I picked it up at Walgreens but it should be available at any major drug store) that I started trying after I quit responding to my prescriptions.

Keeping the skin moisturized helps with the pain – I live in a very dry climate in the winter so I run a humidifier 24/7. I also apply Vaseline to it to help moisturize it. It’s messy but it moisturizes extremely well and isn’t painful even on very raw skin.

Eating healthy is also helpful since this is a immune system disorder. Some of the recommendations I abide be are – lots of fruits and veggies, as little red meat as possible (once meal with red meat a month is all I allow myself), and olive oil instead of other oils.

I have done research on the topic of foods and psoriasis and was skeptical as to how much food would really affect it. Then I spent 4 months in Spain eating only traditional food. Only olive oil was used in cooking, we didn’t eat a ton of meat (and absolutely no red meat), and fruit or veggies were a part of every meal. My skin cleared almost entirely (I’d had psoriasis for 18 years at that point and 4 years since and that was the clearest it had ever been) and my psoratic arthritis also cleared up. I’m a believer now!

Currently there is no known cure. However, there has been recent news which came out in the November 2008 Issue of Archives of Dermatology that states a traditional Chinese medicine works in 82% of its case study.

Indigo Naturalis is a dark blue plant based powder which was used in the study. I think a bottle of it is around $ 20. Check out the article below and the magazine article.

Also, the ole wiki has pretty good info on possible solutions.
